Drones carrying smart bombs appear in Douma
According to Al-Masdar News, for the first time in the military campaign in Douma, SAA forces used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and smart bombs.
Al-Masdar News quoted a source from the Syrian government army (SAA) as saying that Syrian army units attacked enemy positions with UAVs in Douma.
To carry out this surprise attack, the SAA mobilized at least 5 Mohajer-6 UAVs and smart bombs produced by Iran.

The targets of this high-tech weapon attack were extremist Islamist groups in Douma. Along with the conventional weapons that appeared on the Mohajer-6, it was also discovered that this advanced UAV line used Qa'em smart bombs to attack the jihad phase.
According to Al-Masdar News, Syria's decision to use UAVs to attack rebels in Douma aims to quickly liberate the city while still ensuring the safety of its soldiers.
Initially, sources did not specify which type of Syrian military drone was used for the airstrikes, but based on the UAV's activities on the Douma battlefield, it can be seen that the Syrian military's UAV was the Mohajer-6.
Pro-jihadist social media reported that Syrian drones carried out repeated airstrikes on the Islamist group that is still fiercely resisting in Douma.
Using the Mohajer-6, the Syrian army wants to create a battlefield space of constant tension, putting the rebels at constant risk of being destroyed.
Furthermore, the Mohajer-6s fly virtually silently, so the jihadists have no way of knowing if they are at risk of being attacked from the air.
UAVs are becoming extremely dangerous guerrilla warfare weapons due to their long flight time, complete silence, and the ability of the user force to continuously control a large battlefield space.
At the same time, UAVs do not cause losses in terms of manpower and weapons, especially in street warfare, because they are equipped with advanced smart bombs that neatly attack targets.
