"This is an aircraft with components from fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and airships," said Stephen McGlennan, CEO of Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV). The Airlander 10 is designed to use less fuel but carry more cargo than conventional aircraft. According to HAV, the aircraft can reach an altitude of 4,877 meters, travel at speeds up to 145 km/h, and remain airborne for up to two weeks. (Image:)AFP.

Initially, the US military developed the aircraft for reconnaissance in Afghanistan. However, the US program was discontinued in 2013. Subsequently, HAV, a small aerospace company in the UK, raised funds from the government and individuals to improve the Airlander 10. (Image: [Image caption])Reuters.

"This aircraft can function similarly to a helicopter, transporting people and cargo in the air without needing a runway. In addition to long-distance travel, it's also cheaper and cleaner," McGlennan said. (Photo:)AFP.
