The F-16C will imitate the Russian aviation complex in air battles. |
57th Aviation Wing Commander Robert Novotny posted a photo of the aircraft painted in the new camouflage on Facebook.
A few months ago, he invited netizens to choose a color scheme that closely resembled the Russian Su-57. After summarizing, the sketch was approved under the name "Gadyuka".
According to the US commander, the aircraft will be painted by early summer and will be the highlight of an air show at Nellis Air Force Base in November.
This is not the first such case. Previously, F-16 fighters from the 64th Training Squadron were camouflaged as enemy aircraft in Nevada, repainted to look like Russian Su-35s.
