US bombers 'approach' Korean peninsula for second time this week
For the second time this week, two US strategic bombers were spotted flying near the Korean peninsula.
This comes amid heightened tensions after North Korea warned South Korea against sending anti-Pyongyang leaflets.

Two B-52H bombers were spotted flying over northern Japan, according to Airplane Spots, an aviation tracker, without specifying the time. This is the second time US heavy bombers have flown near the Korean Peninsula this week.
According to the US Pacific Air Forces, two B-52H aircraft participated in a joint exercise on June 17 with Japan in the Sea of Japan.
The US has sent bombers to the region amid heightened tensions on the Korean peninsula after North Korea repeatedly threatened a series of retaliatory steps against South Korea's failure to stop activists from sending anti-Pyongyang leaflets.
North Korea has destroyed a liaison office in the border town of Kaesong, threatened to send troops to border areas, and re-establish guard posts in the Demilitarized Zone separating the two Koreas./.
