The sudden appearance of 10 B-2s, half of the US Air Force's most modern bombers, in the sky over a major American city has raised many questions.

Many suspect this could be a sign that Washington is preparing for a new round of airstrikes on Syria, while others are more inclined to believe that a nuclear strike could be imminent.

However, recently, the US Air Force dispelled all speculation when it confirmed that these B-2s were participating in exercises to enhance interoperability.

Four KC-10s were said to have appeared in the sky over Montana for about 20 minutes.

“Neptune Falcon/Neptune Hawk is an interactive air exercise designed to maintain operational readiness and evaluate combat capabilities in a realistic environment. The exercise will be held from April 16 to May 5, with the participation of US military personnel from multiple branches,” said Major Christina Sukach, 99th Wing Community Affairs Officer at Nellis Air Force Base.

However, the US Air Force refused to provide information on the number of B-2 bombers or confirm whether K-2 refueling aircraft would participate in the exercise. The reason for choosing Minneapolis as the location for the exercise was also not announced./.
