US military aircraft conduct reconnaissance over Chukotka, Russia
A US military aircraft has conducted an observation flight over Russian territory within the framework of the Open Skies Treaty. This is reported by monitoring source PlaneRadar posted on Twitter.

The US Air Force BoeingOC-135B Open Skies aircraft with call sign 61-2670 was recorded in the receiver coverage area of the cities of Anadyr and Pevek in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug at an altitude of 11.2 km.
The Boeing OS-135B is not designed to carry weapons. The aircraft has passed international checks with the participation of Moscow, to exclude the use of equipment not specified in the agreement.
Similar flights had previously taken place over Russian territory on March 11, 13 and 14.
The Open Skies Treaty was signed by OSCE members in 1992 and became one of the confidence-building measures in Europe after the Cold War.
According to the document, countries can conduct reconnaissance flights over the territories of other member states and collect information about their militaries.
