A US military C-130 Hercules aircraft suddenly exploded in mid-air, crashed into a field in Mississippi and burst into flames, killing at least five people.

Emergency services recovered the bodies of four victims at the scene, where the plane’s charred remains lay in a field in LeFlore County, Mississippi, on July 10. Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames and retrieve the bodies.
However, a source said there were nine people on board. Investigator Will Gnemi said they were looking for more victims and would announce the results later in the day.
