Russian military plane nearly crashes into civilian plane
The Swedish Ministry of Defense confirmed that a Russian military aircraft nearly crashed into a passenger plane near the country's airspace.
The passenger plane nearly collided with a foreign military aircraft after the Swedish military air traffic control centre reported an “invisible” aircraft moving in the nearby area.

“It was probably a Russian military jet. We identified it through fighter pilots. The incident is very serious,” Swedish Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist told the TT news agency.
Initial reports suggested the incident occurred in Swedish airspace. However, Hultqvist said that was not true. “The incident occurred in international airspace. It was not a violation of airspace.”
Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter (DN) reported that on December 13, the incident took place at around 1 p.m. (local time). They said that the military aircraft was flying near the southern Swedish sky. The jet had turned off its transponder, so local air traffic control stations could not see it on their monitors.
A Swedish spokesman told DN that at least one Russian military aircraft was seen flying in airspace between the Danish island of Bornholm and the southern Swedish city of Malmo on December 12 around the time the passenger plane nearly collided with an unidentified military aircraft.
Accordingly, the above civil aircraft had just taken off from Kastrup airport (Denmark) at the exact time air traffic controllers discovered this strange aircraft.
