Cargo plane carrying President Trump's delegation arrives in Hanoi

After two hours of unloading cargo for the US President's visit, the Boeing C-17 heavy transport aircraft left.

On the morning of October 30, a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III heavy transport aircraft carrying supplies, equipment, and goods for the visit to Vietnam of US President Donald Trump and his entourage landed at Noi Bai International Airport. After unloading the goods at the airport for about two hours, the C17 left the airport.

According to a representative of Noi Bai International Airport, in the coming days, flights carrying logistics goods for President Donald Trump's delegation will continue to arrive in Vietnam. The equipment and goods will be handed over to the US Embassy.

The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is a large military transport aircraft, 53 m long, 51.75 m wide wingspan. With a cargo compartment width of 5.5 m, maximum height of 4.6 m, Globemaster III is capable of carrying 78 tons of cargo, including most of the US military's mobile combat equipment such as tanks and armored vehicles. In particular, the C-17 can carry four UH-60 Blackhawk transport helicopters, two AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.

The C-17 is equipped with an advanced electronic cockpit and cargo handling system, allowing a crew of three to operate all systems. Since entering service in 1995, 218 Boeing C-17 aircraft have been delivered to the US Air Force.

In May 2016, a Boeing C-17 aircraft transported tons of cargo to serve the logistics needs of President Barack Obama's delegation when they visited Vietnam, including the US President's helicopter and private car.
