The punctured tire was located on the right rear landing gear of the aircraft. Since each landing gear has two tires in parallel, the aircraft can continue to fly even if one tire is punctured. According to Flight Radar data, the aircraft with the punctured tire is an A320.
VietJet representative said that they replaced the tire immediately afterwards and ensured that the schedule of subsequent flights was not affected.
This is the second incident involving VietJet aircraft since the beginning of the year of the Pig and the second incident involving aircraft tires in the past two months.
