Lucky or unlucky
(Baonghean.vn) -Lucky or unlucky, successful or failed, sometimes just a sigh separates it.
I have a friend who is very concerned about gambling and luck. One time, he and I went to the temple together on the first day of the month, and his pocket was picked. The thief had a bit of a conscience, took all the money and threw the wallet and personal papers in the trash can in front of the temple gate. Although he lost nearly ten million in cash, my friend still smiled happily because "Luckily he got his personal papers back" and thought that going to the temple had brought him luck.
There are actually many ways to look at an event. If my friend had not lost his wallet at the temple but somewhere else, he would have most likely ignored the matter of finding his identification documents and focused on the events of “losing his wallet” and “losing his money”. The same thing is losing a wallet, but changing the perspective makes people evaluate the event differently, even contradictory. Just like some cultures believe that black cats bring misfortune and bad luck, in some places, they are welcomed because they bring luck and good things.
In fact, luck or misfortune is similar to the concept of good - bad, right - wrong, that is, it is relative and more subjective than objective. There are things and events that are neither good nor bad, neither lucky nor unlucky in themselves. But when combined with external factors of a personal nature, each subject will assign a qualitative label according to their subjective perspective. For example, a heavy rain pouring down on a fire will be welcomed by those who are trying to put out the fire, considered lucky. But the same rain, for the fishermen whose ship sank and are waiting to be rescued, is a terrible disaster. So in short, is that rain lucky or unlucky, should or should not be? It is difficult to give an absolute answer that satisfies everyone.
But perhaps that is the nature of luck and misfortune. Perhaps they are two inseparable concepts. Or perhaps they are just two different names for the same concept. Whether it is luck or misfortune, it doesn't matter what you call it. After all, the things and events that happen to us are not the cause of our results. All of those things are just external factors, just the environment, just catalysts, while our thoughts, our choices, our actions are the causes that determine the results we receive. Luck is up to us, misfortune is also up to us, sometimes just a difference in perspective determines a person's behavior.
Many people wonder why their lives are full of misfortune. There are people who, when comparing their achievements with others, always think that others are luckier and have it easier than them. In fact, those who often complain are the laziest and most incompetent. Because of laziness, they do not care about cultivating their own results, but only look at and covet the results of others. Because of laziness, their achievements are not as good as others, and as a result, they do not know how to blame themselves and make excuses that others are luckier, which is incompetence. The more people like that, the more unhappy they see life. The more unhappy they are, the more they blame life and others. Lucky or unlucky, successful or failed, sometimes only a sigh separates them.
