Excavator plunges into 20m deep abyss, driver dies

(Baonghean.vn)- At 11am on April 7, an excavator was constructing a school for Pieng Vai village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province, suddenly fell into a ravine, killing the driver on the spot.

According to information from the leader of My Ly commune, the accident happened at 11am in the area of ​​Pieng Vai Kindergarten.

Accordingly, while constructing a kindergarten for Pieng Vai village, My Ly commune, the tire excavator driven by Mr. HV C (born 1977), from Hung Tan commune, Hung Nguyen district, suddenly plunged into a 20m deep abyss. Mr. C. could not jump out in time and died on the spot.

Immediately after the accident, Ky Son District Police promptly arrived to protect, examine the scene and investigate the cause of the incident.

Pieng Vai is a village inhabited by the Mong people, where the terrain is extremely rugged.

The victim’s body has been handed over to his family for burial according to local customs. Due to the high terrain, the excavator has not been able to lift it.
