118-110, 116-112, 116-112 – that's the scoreline given by all three judges in favor of Floyd Mayweather in the fight to unify the world welterweight championship belts (WBC, WBO, WBA).
Immediately after the 12th round ended, Floyd Mayweather rushed to the corner of the ring, facing the crowd and excitedly beating his chest. He then proactively approached his opponents, hugged Pacquiao, and spoke to the Filipino boxer's support staff with a seemingly sympathetic attitude. The American boxer displayed this arrogant demeanor even before the organizers announced his victory on points.

This result extended Mayweather's professional boxing career to 48 wins without a loss. It is estimated that his total career earnings will reach $600 million after this fight. Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao suffered his sixth professional defeat and lost his WBO belt to the American opponent.
Mayweather and Pacquiao are two of the strongest welterweight boxers in the world today. But this will be their first fight after five years of negotiations to organize the fight of the century.

According to the original schedule, the match was supposed to start around 10:00 AM on May 3rd, Hanoi time. However, the match started nearly an hour later than expected because pay-TV providers in the US and UK requested that the organizers postpone the time as many subscribers were still registered to watch the match close to the scheduled start time.
This encounter promises to be thrilling and has a huge number of fans eagerly awaiting it. The 16,000-seat MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas is packed. The rooftop of the MGM Grand Arena casino and hotel complex is densely covered with planes belonging to the world's billionaires. But the match didn't unfold as excitingly as expected. The majority of fans and experts criticized it for not living up to the title of "Match of the Century."
Spectators felt that Manny Pacquiao was more aggressive, proactive, and combative. In several rounds, he cornered Mayweather and landed a barrage of punches, even nearly knocking him down in the fourth round. However, from a boxing standpoint, the American was faster, more accurate, and controlled the fight better. His superb defense and ability to wait for decisive blows have always been Mayweather's strengths. And this was clearly demonstrated by the 38-year-old American in this fight, especially after his father and coach, Floyd Sr., repeatedly and sternly lectured him during the break before the seventh round.

Mayweather started better and took the initiative in the early rounds. It wasn't until the fourth round that Pacquiao thrilled his fans, repeatedly landing left hooks to his opponent's head. But after that, the American boxer easily defended against Pacquiao's attacks. Mayweather's speed and agility allowed him to avoid many powerful blows.
In the eighth round, Pacquiao landed another powerful punch, but Mayweather's movement skills saved him from a knockout. For the remaining four rounds, Mayweather clearly held the upper hand, with Pacquiao landing almost no accurate punches. The eleventh round was one-sided, with Mayweather suddenly showing renewed vigor, while Pacquiao appeared fatigued after his ineffective attacks. In the final round, Pacquiao was forced to take risks by lunging forward to deliver a series of punches, but Mayweather adopted a defensive stance to maintain his points advantage.
Revenue from ticket sales and over 3 million pay-per-view subscribers is estimated to total $400 million. $300 million will be split between the two fighters 6-4 (Mayweather $180 million, Pacquiao $120 million).
