Japanese car manufacturer Mazda recently continued to issue a new recall notice for about 205,377 vehicles including CX-7 2007-2011, CX-9 2007-2011 and Mazda 6 2009-2011.

This Mazda recall continues to update and replace defective Takata airbags in the front passenger seat. Previously, Mazda replaced the defective inflators with temporary parts. However, Takata airbag inflators can rupture over time due to prolonged exposure to high humidity, high temperatures, and repeated high temperature fluctuations.
Unlike previous repairs, Mazda will install a new, improved inflator assembly that uses a different type of fuel to inflate the airbags.
At present, the airbag company Takata is being heavily affected by the problem of defective airbags that killed 16 people, injured 180 others and had to file for bankruptcy protection in Japan and the US last month and is planning to "sell itself" for 1.6 billion USD.
