The new sedan adds more standard equipment and some new options and goes on sale in October.

Compared to the previous version, the 2018 Mazda6 retains the same design and price. Starting with the lowest version, the Mazda6 Sport priced at 22,000 USD, the Japanese car company adds safety technology such as Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

Mazda6 2018 version with upgraded technology, on sale from October in the US.

The $24,200 Touring adds heated front seats and GPS navigation. Customers can also upgrade from faux leather to genuine leather, LED headlights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Homelink connectivity, and an eight-way power driver's seat.

The Mazda6 Grand Touring, the most premium version priced at $30,700, comes with a head-up display, power passenger seat, radar cruise control, lane keeping assist, and smart brake assist. For an additional $2,500, the GT Premium package adds Nappa leather seats, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and the i-Eloop brake fuel regeneration system.

All versions above use Skyactiv-G 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with capacity of 184 horsepower, maximum torque of 250 Nm. Sport and Touring versions have the option of 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, while Grand Touring only uses 6-speed automatic transmission.

According to the plan, Mazda6 2018 will be sold in October. Mazda's sedan is in the same segment as Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Kia Optima, Hyundai Sonata. Mazda6 also follows a sporty but smooth trend. Compared to Camry, Mazda6 is more emotional but lacks the real sportiness of Accord.
