MC Mai Trang shares about her decision to leave VTV after donating her entire body
A familiar face of the Morning Coffee program with VTV3 shared for the first time about his recent "disappearance" from television as well as his decision to donate his entire body to medicine.
- You are a familiar face in the Morning Coffee program with VTV3 but recently you have not appeared anymore, what did Trang say to the audience about this "disappearance"?
- Thank you for your concern for Trang and her "disappearance" during this time. Trang has no secret plans. Just like a continuously operating machine needs to rest and restart to operate better, Trang also needs a quiet moment to reflect and re-evaluate herself, thereby rearranging her life to "operate" effectively. Therefore, Trang decided to temporarily stop the cycle of all current jobs, move to Ho Chi Minh City to have a private space for learning new skills, developing herself to become more mature.
- Working at VTV is the dream of many people working in television and is also a great launching pad for anyone. Why did you suddenly quit? Is it because of pressure, income, work time or any other reason?
Vietnam Television and the Entertainment Program Production Department in particular are the places that have created Trang's personality, character and image. Trang is always very aware of that and is always grateful for that. Trang spends more time at VTV than at home, so it is not wrong to say that VTV is Trang's second home with wonderful teachers and colleagues that Trang cannot find anywhere else.
But as a person working in the same profession, perhaps she will also understand the nature of the job of a reporter/editor. Especially for TV editors, to produce daily live broadcast programs like Morning Cafe with VTV3 requires a high-intensity, focused working capacity. This pressure is not simple, and Trang affirms that only love for the profession and the sense of responsibility of a journalist can make Trang's colleagues devote themselves without demands or complaints. Trang has learned and become more confident from sleepless nights and the pressure of producing live programs like that. But to become more mature, Trang needs to gain more new knowledge, needs to travel many days to learn more wisdom from this vast world.
-Have you ever considered returning to VTV?
Let the future be unknown. If Trang returns, the audience will definitely be the first to notice.
- During your time working in television, is there anything particularly memorable for you? Any memories that you can never forget?
At the Entertainment Program Production Department, Trang had the opportunity to participate in filming and producing many programs, each experience was memorable. One of them was associated with the 7th Wish.
Accepting the invitation to participate as a host, Trang had two big pressures: pressure on herself in front of a new type of program, and pressure from the shadow of Ms. Diep Chi in the audience's heart. With the crew on the way to Thanh Hoa to fulfill the wish of veteran Pham Van Mao (Wish 7 No. 132), Trang was very worried and tried to prepare the script well, participating in the planning stages to clearly understand the meaning of the wish and write the narration completely and smoothly.
But on the day the wish was made, tears kept flowing, all the pre-prepared instructions just slipped away. Going on stage with red, teary eyes because of emotion, Trang realized that all the preparations were not as good as sincere emotions. At the end of the program, the director texted to praise and thank, Trang couldn't sleep all night because of happiness because not only Uncle Mao's wish, but also her own wish, had come true.
- Why did Trang decide to choose Saigon to start a new experience? How were the first days in Ho Chi Minh City? Did you miss Hanoi and the mornings of filming Morning Coffee?
Saigon is a young city, with a constant rhythm of movement regardless of day or night. The weather in Ho Chi Minh City is also milder than in Hanoi. Honestly, Trang is very afraid of winter, because the cold makes people lazy and less active. Trang wants to not be stagnant, always move in the most effective way, so Trang chose Ho Chi Minh City as the first destination to experiment. Having been attached to this land too much during countless business trips, but living here is a completely new feeling. The haste of the people here affirms that Saigon has no room for delay or laziness. Trang is starting to get used to this rhythm of life, and also has interesting observations about the differences between the capital and the city named after Uncle Ho.
After temporarily leaving VTV, Trang still tries to wake up early to watch Morning Cafe on VTV3 every day. Now watching as an audience, Trang is even more impressed with the production team for their hard work and dedication to create a perfect 50 minutes on air. Morning Cafe will have more changes in the future, and Trang will definitely always be an unconditional coffee lover no matter what role she plays.
- Recently, the first wife of actor Cong Ly shared that Trang inspired and encouraged her a lot about organ donation. Why did Trang decide to donate her entire body to medicine? Did your family support this decision?
Trang thinks there is no need to ask why a good deed is done. For Trang, this is also a very normal thing. But the wonderful thing is that many other people have been inspired by stories like Trang's to continue doing extraordinary things. Trang thanks them for their courage and kindness. If each of us just lives with a little more love, this life will become a paradise.
Trang registered to be an organ donor without asking anyone’s permission. After registering, Trang went home to talk to her parents, and they were both very proud of her actions. Trang’s parents are wonderful people, and although they were not always with their daughter on every step of the way, they always believed in and supported Trang.
- A sexy and sharp MC like you certainly has a lot of guys chasing after you. Tell us about your other half? What kind of person is Trang's perfect man?
- Currently, Trang is focusing on her own development so she doesn't spend much time on love. Trang doesn't have a perfect man as a model because pursuing perfection seems too unrealistic. But Trang needs a companion who is mature, has a positive outlook on life and always brings inspiration, is a source of encouragement and motivation for Trang to realize her dreams. Add a little humor, because life always needs laughter.
- Thanks Trang for the chat!
