What chance brought you to Entertainment programs like The Voice, The Remix, while you are familiar with sports programs on television?

- I always dreamed of standing on a big stage but never thought that one day, I would be able to do it. After many years of hard work, I have done many things, accumulated a lot of experience and gradually created my own fashion style.

Maybe those things helped me build a positive image, getting noticed by producers because they really like new and fashionable faces.

Being an MC at live shows can be risky. Are you confident when you don’t have much experience?

- Actually, I have no experience as an MC on big stages but have 10 years of experience hosting programs at VTV. Moreover, this is my dream, so I really want to express myself. Of course, when I stepped onto the big stage, my initial mentality was somewhat lacking in confidence. Moreover, I stood on the same stage with many stars I had never known or met before. Even Thanh Trung, my co-host, had never met before. That's why I was initially overwhelmed.

However, everyone in the production team helped me a lot. I also tried to get to know the singers participating in the program so I felt more and more confident. They were all like me, wanting to contribute and bring the best things to the stage.

I heard you invested a large amount of money to create an impressive fashion style when hosting The Voice and The Remix?

- That's right! I have a strong passion for fashion and rarely think about money when investing in my clothes. Because at that time, material value will come after the value of my image, so I don't mind. I want to bring everyone a new breath, suitable for the theme of each show, thereby creating a strong impression on the audience.

Currently, it can be seen that this is an effective investment because the public has had many positive responses to my fashion style.

However, some people think that you should not mention the price of designer clothes because it is a bit ostentatious?

- In fact, I also noticed negative feedback on social networks. People said that I don't dress well, my makeup is not pretty, I flaunt my branded goods... But I don't want to read it and I don't really care. If the audience pays attention, I rarely mention the value of my clothes, because I want them to focus on my personal efforts and the fashion style I create rather than materialistic numbers.

It took me 10 years to get to where I am today. It was a process of hard work, I built the foundation a long time ago. I just need people around me to understand me, producers to trust me. For those who don't want to understand, no matter how I justify or explain, they still won't sympathize.

Past of abuse, death threats

How many relationships have you had? What lessons have you learned from those relationships?

- I don't remember and don't want to remember a specific number. I was desperate when I was betrayed, abused... Of course, I was the one who asked to end those relationships, but the hurt was inevitable. After those times, I collapsed and was confused. I thought that in this life, there would be no one strong enough to be my support anymore.

Editor Quynh Chi has experienced sad love stories in the past.

However, because of the sad things in the past, I became more independent and self-reliant. I can stand on my own two feet, without relying on anyone.

Have you been abused in the past?

- He has a very kind face and is an intellectual. When we first met, I realized that he was hot-tempered, but I also tried to change myself, be more patient and sympathetic. However, I could not control his violence. I was very scared, and suggested breaking up immediately, but he still refused to let go. He kept texting me threatening to follow and kill me at home... At first, I was very scared and did not dare to go out. If I had urgent matters to go out, I had to ask my friends to go with me to ensure safety.

This lasted for a short while and then stopped. However, it took me a few months to recover and overcome my fear. Now, I am fine and completely satisfied with my life.

Many people suspect that your relationship with MC Thuy Dung is more than friendship. Are they doubting your sexuality?

- Dung and I, as everyone says, have feelings beyond close friends. We are companions, Dung has given me positive energy, helping me become more independent, optimistic and stronger.

Dung used to be an athlete. She knows how to control her mind very well and always looks forward to the good things in life. I benefit from those things from Dung. Because I am very pessimistic, always thinking negatively. When I am most stressed and tired, the person who lifts me up is Dung.

However, I affirm that my gender is completely normal. I cannot explain to everyone, but the people around me understand and sympathize. That is the most important thing.

Mom is sad because I don't get married

I heard that you plan to have a baby at the end of this year, whether you have a husband or not. Is that true?

- Yes, I want to have a baby at the end of this year. However, that's the plan, but children are God's gift, so I'll try, if it doesn't work, I'll keep trying. My boyfriend and I have agreed on that.

I wanted to have children before marriage because marriage entails a lot of commitment. Very few people around me are happy in their marriages. If they are lucky, they also have to face the responsibility of heavy problems. That commitment is completely unnecessary.

I know many people who have children of a few years old before deciding to get married. At that time, if the two people still want to stick together and love each other, and are responsible for both families, they can live together. In the beginning, just learn about each other very carefully.

Does your family fully support this decision?

- My mother always wanted me to get married and have children like other normal women. She was always upset because of me. She always said: 'Having a husband is good enough'. But I objected. Having a husband but being happy is good. If after getting married, we have to endure and suffer for each other, then what problem will it solve? Why do we have to live like that? Now, my mother has gradually accepted it, because if I am happy, she can feel at ease.

I know there are many criticisms surrounding this decision. They say that I am promoting things that are against morality. Many colleagues have advised me that I should not answer interviews so frankly, but I cannot do otherwise. Because that is who I am, my own point of view.
