Coach Park Hang-seo's mother wants to visit her son in Vietnam
Ms. Park Sun-jung, 97 years old, has been treated for dysphagia and memory loss for many years, at a nursing home in Sancheong district (South Korea).
Mrs. Park has four children - three boys and one girl. Coach Park Hang-seo is the youngest. With the success of Coach Park and the Vietnamese team at the recent U23 Asian Cup, Korean friends and reporters visited Mrs. Park at the nursing home to congratulate her on January 29.

“I have a son who studies and plays football very well. I was not able to pay much attention to him when he was young. I want to see him, I want to come to Vietnam,” Ms. Park told reporters on the newspaper.Yonhap News, and could not hold back tears every time I heard people talk about the achievements Coach Park achieved with Vietnam.
“My mother couldn’t stop crying when talking about Hang-seo. I told her to come to Vietnam to visit Hang-seo, because my brother just created a miracle in football. I still keep in touch with my brother. Yesterday (January 28), I received a message from Hang-seo saying: “Please calm down. Don’t say anything”. My sister will also come home to visit in the new year,” said Mr. Park Sam-seo – Coach Park’s brother.

Mr. Park is expected to return to Korea during the traditional Lunar New Year. He will certainly be warmly welcomed in his hometown. “Hang-seo is the pride of Sancheong. I will hold a ceremony to welcome Hang-seo when my brother returns home,” Coach Park’s brother added.
Just three months after leading the U23 Vietnam team, Coach Park brought home the runner-up position at the U23 Asian Cup - the best achievement of a Southeast Asian representative when competing in this age group continental tournament.
