Young mother locks newborn baby on cold balcony to scare ex-husband
A Russian mother has been fined after leaving her three-month-old daughter naked on her balcony in freezing weather.
According toThe Sun, Elizaveta Klimova is a single mother in her 20s living in the city of Balakovo, Saratov Oblast, southwestern Russia. Klimova left her daughter crying naked on her balcony and then took a picture and sent it to her ex-husband Aleksandr Potryasov, 28, who is also the child's father.

"Come and see him one last time. I just locked him on the balcony. Let him freeze to death. He's such a nuisance," Klimova texted her ex-husband, hoping to hurt him.
The child's father later posted the photos on his social media account. "I posted them because I wanted my ex-wife to lose custody of my child. I don't know what she could do to my little girl. I'm tired of thinking she could freeze her to death or throw her on the street," Potrysov told local media.
However, Potryasov also said that she could not take care of her child because she had to work a lot. After these images were released, Klimova turned around and accused her ex-husband of "not paying child support".
Neighbors said that after Klimova gave birth, her husband moved to the neighboring town of Volsk. After the divorce, the relationship between the two was very tense.
After seeing the pictures online, the police got involved and discovered that the pictures were taken in October. They also took the baby for a medical check-up and found that the baby's health is currently normal.
"Klimova was charged with failing to fulfil her responsibilities as a mother and was also fined," a police spokesman said.
Temperatures in Balakovo in October can drop to minus 20 degrees Celsius.
