Medvedev outlines conditions for continued gas transit through Ukraine
The head of the Russian government, Dmitry Medvedev, described the conditions for preserving the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine to Europe after 2019.

“In short, it is about dealing with the relationships between the companies involved, the economic and commercial benefits of the transactions, as well as a stable political environment,” he explained in an interview with Luxemburger Wort.
The Russian Prime Minister also assured that after the construction of the Nord Stream-2 and Turkish Stream gas pipelines, Russia will not abandon supplies through existing pipelines, including through Ukraine.
"The more transit pipelines, the more secure the supply," Medvedev stressed.
At the same time, the head of the Russian cabinet expressed confidence that in the near future, the demand for Russian gas in Europe will remain, "until decisions are made on the basis of economic feasibility or there is no truly revolutionary breakthrough in energy technology."
