Tips for withdrawing and transferring money without problems during Tet
You should carefully check the beneficiary information before transferring money, do not close the transaction screen on ebank or exit the ATM screen before receiving the result.
Banks have officially closed for Tet since January 26 (ie 29th of Tet) and will only resume operations from the 6th of Tet. Although the ATM and e-bank systems of most banks are still operating, in reality, it will be difficult to respond to customer complaints and inquiries immediately if an incident occurs. Therefore, users should also be careful before each withdrawal and transfer to avoid trouble during these days.
Cash withdrawal problem
Many experts say that one of the reasons why ATMs swallow cards may come from the user's careless actions. In fact, before allowing withdrawals, ATMs of some banks require cardholders to answer which account they are withdrawing money from. Many people, in a hurry and not paying attention, choose savings accounts, credit accounts... instead of "payment accounts".

In addition, even if the machine releases the card, it does not mean that your transaction is over. Many people do not pay attention, after the ATM releases the card, they immediately leave without waiting to get the money. Experts recommend that customers should wait at least 60 seconds to make sure the transaction is over.
In case the ATM screen shows "transaction not completed", you can try again by selecting a smaller withdrawal amount or one of the suggested denominations on the screen instead of entering a new number yourself. The bank's IT staff explained that sometimes ATMs have problems when receiving requests for large denominations.
In addition, the most annoying thing during Tet is having your card swallowed because banks will find it difficult to support ATM card refunds during the holidays. Therefore, you need to be very careful on the device. Do not rush and do not close or exit the screen if you see that the transaction is taking too long to process. In the worst case, if your card is swallowed but you still need to withdraw cash, after reporting to the bank via the hotline, you can use Internet Banking, Mobile Banking to transfer some of your money to your relatives and ask them to withdraw it for you.
On the contrary, if you really need to pay some small change immediately and are in a place where it is difficult to exchange money, you should try to order to withdraw small change (for example 600,000 instead of 500,000 VND) to limit the machine from only giving out round money.
In addition, for ATMs that do not have a keyboard cover, you should try to use your hand to cover the PIN when entering it to avoid being exploited by criminals and revealing your card information. In fact, many people, even though it is not their turn to withdraw money, still intentionally rush in front of the screen while you are operating. Therefore, each cardholder should proactively find ways to protect personal information when making transactions.
Problems when transferring money on ebank, ATM
During Tet, you can still give lucky money or transfer money to relatives, even if it is through a different banking system, but you need to carefully check the beneficiary information, the money transfer information only includes unaccented letters and numbers; does not include special characters (eg '&', '_', '+/-', '%', '$”….). After confirming the money transfer, customers need to wait and check the money transfer transaction results displayed on the transaction screen. Do not close the transaction screen until receiving the transaction results.
In case of errors in money transfer, reconciliation or complaint investigation will be carried out at the request of whichever party comes first (customer, when the customer proactively notifies the hotline or the card issuing organization). Therefore, if you transfer money but the beneficiary has not received the money, you should stay calm and carry out the procedures step by step.
