Mercedes-Benz officially recalls thousands of cars in Vietnam

Most Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) vehicles were recalled this time due to fuse and power steering failures.

The Vietnam Register (VRS) has just issued 4 recall notices for Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Vietnam. Among the 4 recall notices of the VRS, 3 are recall notices for Mercedes-Benz luxury vehicles due to a fault in the fuse system.

Specifically, the car models with faulty fuses in the Vietnamese market include: C200, C300, E200, E250, E300, GLC 250 4MATIC, GLC 300 4MATIC, C300 Coupe, CLA 200, CLA 250, CLA 400 AMG, A200, A250, AMG A45.

According to the Vietnam Register, to fix the above error, MBV will add a fuse to the current limiter to overcome the overheating phenomenon due to repeated starting.

In addition to recalling vehicles due to faulty fuses, the Vietnam Register also announced the recall of 294 Mercedes-Benz vehicles with faults in the power steering electrical control system. Vehicle models with faults in this system include: GLE 400 4MATIC, GL 300 CDI 4MATIC, GL 400 4MATIC, GL 500 4MATIC, AMG GLS 63 S 4MATIC, GLE 400 Coupe, GLE 400 AMG.

To ensure the highest benefits for customers, upon receiving notice from authorized dealers of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam or through the media, customers with vehicles subject to recall should quickly bring their vehicles to authorized dealers of MBV to have them inspected and replaced with new power steering system wiring connectors that meet standards.
