Mercedes-Benz recalls nearly 500,000 vehicles due to airbag defect
Mercedes-Benz has just announced a recall of 495,290 vehicles in the US due to an airbag-related defect.
According to the latest announcement from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the driver's side airbag on Mercedes-Benz models may unexpectedly deploy in some cases. This will surprise the driver and may cause unintended collisions. However, this defect on Mercedes-Benz vehicles is not related to Takata airbags.
