German car manufacturer Mercedes has just announced a recall of about 1 million vehicles worldwide because the car's starter can overheat, leading to a risk of fire.

The recalled vehicles include the C-Class, E-Class, CLA, and the GLA and GLC sports cars. All of these vehicles were manufactured between 2015 and 2017.

To date, there have been 51 fires involving these vehicles worldwide, with about 30 occurring in the United States. However, there have been no fatalities related to these incidents.

The recall of 308,000 vehicles in the US will begin in July, when replacement parts will be shipped. The US is one of Mercedes-Benz’s biggest markets, along with China and Germany.
