Messi receives 90 million euros in hand if he renews his contract with Barca

Barcelona are ready to pay a record signing bonus if Lionel Messi agrees to extend his contract.

Barca plans to pay Messi a huge signing bonus of 90 million euros if the Argentine superstar agrees to sign a new contract until June 2021. Messi's current contract only has one and a half years left to expire (June 2019).

In addition to the aforementioned signing bonus, Messi will also receive a salary of up to 550,000 euros/week in the new contract. To offset the expected cost for the number one star in the squad, the Catalan team also plans to sell the naming rights of the Nou Camp stadium for 25 years to earn about 200 million euros.

The new contract between Barca and Messi is expected to be signed in November. Basically, both sides have found common ground on all terms. The contract even has Jorge Messi's signature, only Messi's signature is missing.
