Messi & Tevez nominated for FIFA's Goal of the Year

Among the 10 nominees for the 2015 Puskas Award, there are two prominent names: striker Lionel Messi and Carlos Tevez.

In the Spanish King's Cup final against Athletic Bilbao (Barca won 3-1), the Argentine superstar dribbled past 4 opposing players before scoring the opening goal in the 20th minute. Messi's teammate in the Argentina national team, Carlos Tevez, also impressed with his sprint from the home field, eliminating a series of Parma players and scoring for Juventus.

Notably, this year's Puskas Award nominees include female player Carli Lloyd. In the match between the US and Japan on July 5, Lloyd scored against the Asian representative with a shot from midfield.

Lloyd's goal was quite similar to the masterpiece that Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi scored against Barca. Thanks to Florenzi's cross from a distance of up to 55m, Roma were able to hold their much stronger opponents to a 1-1 draw.
