Michelle Obama 'reappears', attacks Trump administration
Former US First Lady Michelle Obama has expressed concern about the Donald Trump administration's decision to reduce nutritional requirements in school meals for students.
"You have to stop and think. Why don't you want your kids to have good food in school? What is it about you, and why is it a partisan issue? Why is it political?", CNN quoted Mrs. Obama as saying at the annual conference of the "Partnership for a Healthier America", a nonprofit organization that partners with the public and private sectors to fight childhood obesity.

Michelle Obama's comments came just a week after US Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue signed a memorandum relaxing standards for the next school year in three areas: milk, salt and cereal.
The ministry explained that this is a measure to give more autonomy to schools, avoiding the situation where students throw away unpalatable food in the school-provided meals.
In 2012, the US Congress passed an education law proposed by Michelle Obama that requires students to accept standard school meals in order to receive government subsidies. The law aims to reduce obesity among students by reducing salt and sweetened milk and increasing the amount of whole grains in their diets.
The Trump administration’s Department of Agriculture has said that these nutritional requirements cost the government an additional $1.2 billion a year. Secretary Sonny Perdue also argued that without food regulations, students enjoy their food more and stop throwing it away.
Without directly mentioning President Donald Trump or First Lady Melania Trump, Obama emphasized the importance of making sure parents think about the importance of school lunches.
She vowed to continue fighting on this topic: "My commitment to these issues is real. I chose this issue because of my passion as a mother. I will not give up," Michelle Obama affirmed.
