Forecasts indicate that around the night of February 28th, this cold air mass will affect the northeastern provinces, then the northwestern provinces, and the northern and central parts of Central Vietnam.
Due to the influence of a cold front, from the night of February 28th, the northern provinces will experience scattered rain and showers, with thunderstorms in some areas; the northern and central provinces of Central Vietnam will have rain, showers, and thunderstorms in some areas from March 1st. Winds will shift to northeasterly direction, level 3 inland and level 4 in coastal areas.
From early morning on March 1st, strong northeasterly winds of force 6, gusting to force 7-8, will prevail in the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern South China Sea (including the waters around the Hoang Sa archipelago). The sea will be rough. The level of natural disaster risk is level 2.
