Mikhail Gorbachev: Syrian missile attack was a “practice shot” before “real shot”
The missile strike by the US and its allies on Syria is very similar to a practice fire before the real one, the first and only President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev said in an interview with Latvian radio station Baltkom.

"I think that the attack in the form in which it is being talked about, and with such results, is not necessary for anyone. It is very much like practice firing before the real shooting begins… This is unacceptable, it will not lead to anything good," Mr. Gorbachev said.
On April 14, the US, UK and France launched missile strikes on Syrian government facilities believed to be producing chemical weapons.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the attack an act of aggression against a sovereign country./.
