Mine exploded while the whole family was sleeping, 3 people were injured
After the explosion, 3 people were injured, including the grandfather and 2 grandchildren. Initial investigation determined that it was a mine explosion, suspected to have been detonated by a criminal inside the house.
On February 14, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that professional departments are coordinating with Thieu Hoa District Police to investigate and clarify the mine explosion at the home of Mr. Nguyen Huy Lien (born in 1960, in Thai Son village, Thieu Tam commune, Thieu Hoa district).

According to initial information, at around 2:00 a.m. on February 9 (the 5th day of Tet), while Mr. Lien's family of 9 people were sleeping, an explosion suddenly occurred.
Initial investigation determined that it was a mine explosion, suspected to have been detonated by a criminal inside the house.
After the explosion, three people were injured, including Mr. Nguyen Huy Lien and his two grandchildren (Nguyen Huy Minh and Nguyen Huy Manh). The explosion also damaged many household items. At the same time, the explosion also shocked neighboring families, causing panic among local residents.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police is coordinating with Thieu Hoa District Police and other functional units to investigate, clarify the case and search for the subject.
