Mito Hollyhock confirms ownership of Cong Phuong

On the Japanese team's homepage, information appeared about the contract with the star who grew up from the HAGL Arsenal JMG Academy.

Cong Phuong had a tour of Mito Hollyhock in November. He then returned to Vietnam to play for HAGL U21 and won the international U21 tournament.

All contract terms between HAGL and Mito Hollyhock have almost been completed. However, when Cong Phuong went to Japan, both sides still left open a clause to “review the contract if Mito Hollyhock is relegated”. After the end of J-League 2, this team successfully stayed in the league.

In the announcement on the homepage, Mito Hollyhock confirmed that Cong Phuong will be joining the team from January 2016. The contract will be signed on December 23.

“I am very excited and happy to become a member of Mito Hollyhock,” Cong Phuong shared his feelings in a statement posted by Mito Hollyhock. “I know this is a challenge and also an opportunity for me to continue developing myself. J-League is a very high-level tournament that will bring useful competition experiences in my football life.”

Mito Hollyhock also publicly disclosed Cong Phuong's personal information and learning and growing process from HAGL Arsenal JMG academy to playing for U19, U23 and the Vietnam national team.

The transfer fee for Cong Phuong has not been officially disclosed, but according to VnExpress's own source, the Japanese team paid HAGL $100,000 in exchange for the striker's services. Cong Phuong's salary is about $3,000 a month.
