Mitsubishi Triton Athlete, Ford Ranger Wildtrak rival is about to launch
The high-end version of Mitsubishi Triton named Athlete will be introduced at the Thai Auto Expo 2017. Triton Athlete has a youthful and dynamic design.
Mitsubishi has just released the official image of the Triton Athlete - a special version of this pickup truck line before the Thai Moto Expo taking place on November 30.
The Mitsubishi Triton Athlete has a number of upgrades both exterior and interior. Notable details include a black honeycomb grille, redesigned front bumper and fog lamps.

Black continues to be used for the 17-inch alloy wheels, door sills, exterior mirrors, and door handles. To increase the sportiness and distinguish it from the regular Triton, Mitsubishi uses black and orange tones to decorate around the car.
The interior still retains the main black-orange color scheme with black leather seats and orange seat covers. In addition, the steering wheel, control knobs, storage boxes and center console feature new orange motifs.

The special edition Mitsubishi Triton is also equipped with an 8-way power driver's seat, AVN touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, steering wheel paddle shifters and 2-zone air conditioning. The Athlete logo appears on the back of the seats and floor mats.
In terms of safety, the Mitsubishi Triton Athlete is still fully equipped with the same technology as the standard version, including Active Stability Control, Hill Start Assist. In addition, the automatic door locking system based on speed sensors and 7 airbags fully meet ASEAN NCAP's 5-star safety standards.
The Mitsubishi Triton Athlete is powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC diesel engine that produces 181bhp at 3,500rpm and 430Nm of torque at 2,500rpm, mated to a choice of a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. The automatic version is available in 2WD or 4WD.
Mitsubishi will officially launch this special edition Triton with 3 variants including: Double Cab 2.4 MIVEC Plus MT, Double Cab 2.4 MIVEC Plus AT and Double Cab 2.4 MIVEC 4×4 AT.
