K9 is where Uncle Ho stopped during a visit to the 308th division practicing on the banks of the Da River in May 1957. Uncle Ho chose this location to build a Central base, in case the American war could expand to the North. The stilt house and Uncle Ho's memorabilia are still preserved intact at K9 as they were half a century ago. The K9 relic site preserves memories of Uncle Ho not only when he was alive, but also when he passed away. This is a special feature of K9 compared to other President Ho Chi Minh relic sites nationwide.

K9 is also a special secret location that kept President Ho Chi Minh's body from 1969 to 1975. The greenhouse, underground tunnel system and glass case where Uncle Ho's body is kept are still intact here.
