While carefully harvesting the large, even, thick, and beautifully brown wood ear mushrooms, Ms. Hoa said: For about 2 weeks now, her family has focused on mushroom production to serve the Tet market. In a hurry to get into the season, Ms. Bui Thi Mai Hoa's family in Tra Lan hamlet, Phuc Son commune, also urgently harvested, preserved and cared for 1,500 bags of oyster mushrooms and 1,500 bags of wood ear mushrooms. Ms. Hoa shared: To have an abundant supply of goods to serve the Tet holiday, with an area of ​​720m2, her family had to hire 3 workers to both harvest and gather raw materials to increase production for the new crop.

During this Tet holiday, the family sold 200 kg of wood ear mushrooms and 400 kg of oyster mushrooms to the market. Accordingly, 1 kg of wood ear mushrooms ranges from 80,000 to 100,000 VND, oyster mushrooms 30,000 to 40,000 VND/kg... Thanks to careful care, following the correct technical process, and favorable weather, the products are beautiful, the mushrooms are firm, sweet and fragrant.

Currently, Anh Son district has dozens of mushroom-producing households, mainly concentrated in the communes of Dinh Son, Phuc Son, Linh Son and Lang Son. Most households have invested in building large-scale, scientific farms with sterilization ovens. At this time, people are preparing a very abundant amount of goods.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Son, Director of Anh Son Vocational Training Center, said: “Mushrooms are easy to grow, do not require much capital, mainly take advantage of by-products in agricultural production such as straw, sawdust, fast harvest time and high economic efficiency, so in 2013, Anh Son Vocational Training Center coordinated with localities to bring mushrooms to households. Up to now, 4 training classes have been opened for people in Dinh Son, Hoa Son, Phuc Son and Lang Son communes."
