The latest information from the Rescue and Disaster Prevention Center of Cua Lo Town said that at 9:30 p.m. on April 11, the body of Tran Van Thanh - the victim who was swept away by waves on the afternoon of April 9 while taking graduation photos with his class - was found.
Her body was found near Lan Chau island, about 80m north of the accident site.

Previously, 175 people, many rescue vehicles and 1 flycam were mobilized to search for Thanh over an area of more than 1 square kilometer. By the afternoon of April 11, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of the Rescue and Disaster Prevention Center of Cua Lo town, expressed his concern when there was no news from the rescue team. If the search was extended to April 12, it would be very disadvantageous because the forecast was that there would be a monsoon, rough seas, and the sea water would change color.
Tran Van Thanh (Hamlet 6, Hung Thong Commune, Hung Nguyen), a 12A6 student at Le Hong Phong High School (Hung Nguyen) had an accident on the afternoon of April 9 at Lan Chau Island, Thu Thuy Ward, Cua Lo Town while taking graduation photos with his class. Another victim, Tran Nguyen Chuong (a classmate), was found on the afternoon of April 10 and was brought back to his family that same night.
