Karl Marx and F. Engels founded scientific socialism, were great teachers of the world's working class, and staunch fighters for the communist ideal. The invaluable legacy left by Karl Marx was developed by VI Lenin, spread by Marxists around the world, applied to the specific circumstances of each country, creating many socialist models. Karl Marx's revolutionary ideal "is not only a magical handbook, not only a compass, but also the sun illuminating our path to final victory, to socialism and communism"[2].

A lifetime for the communist ideal,Marx made great contributions to human history., especially the lasting values of the doctrine further demonstrate his vision across the centuries. Fighting against oppression, exploitation, injustice, overthrowing the domination of the bourgeoisie and abolishing capitalist society to liberate the proletariat, liberate society, liberate people, and build a communist society, that is the most noble ideal of Karl Marx.

The further back in time, the more clearly we recognize the humanity and greatness of Karl Marx. Because the beautiful ideal is the core point that makes the name, life and career of Karl Marx leave a deep, long-lasting and sustainable mark in human history.

The noble ideal of Marx is the continuation of the dreams and aspirations of mankind for generations, imbued with the humanity of the working people, very simple, everyday as an inevitable, natural thing about the relationship between people in life. In fact, the aspiration for a life without oppression, exploitation, injustice, where everyone is free, prosperous, and happy existed before society was divided into classes. However, that noble thing has no "place" in class-based societies: slave-owning, feudal, especially capitalist society.

Before Marx, many thinkers had fought to reclaim that simple aspiration, but none of them were effective, because they had not yet found a way to turn the dream into reality. Therefore, the socialist ideology before Marx was still utopian socialism. With Marx, that ideal did not stop at dreams and aspirations but became science, realized in practice. The correct principles and laws of history and society of Marxism are the theoretical basis in scientific research and practical activities. Therefore, nearly two centuries have passed, with many changes in history, but Marx's doctrine has always been protected, constantly developed, affirmed its stature, demonstrated its strong vitality and profound contemporary values, and continued to illuminate the path to liberating classes, society, and people. Not only communists and countries following the path of socialism, but many non-Marxist thinkers also respect and honor the great ideology of Marx. Even after the Soviet Union and Eastern European socialist countries faced crisis and collapsed; when the US and many developed industrial countries faced the consequences of the financial crisis, Western economic experts still sought out Marx's doctrine as a theoretical and methodological basis to outline development strategies to quickly escape the epicenter of the crisis. At the same time, to overcome the consequences of global issues of today's era, many countries in the world have republished some of Marx's works, further demonstrating the great vitality of his theoretical thinking.

Marx's ideal of bringing happiness to people was formed from his intellectual height and the inheritance of achievements of human thinking. Reaching that great height, in his doctrine, in addition to scientific thinking, Marx also inherited and criticized achievements of human thinking. Marx not only accepted the complete scientific rationalism of classical German philosophy but also of French utopian socialism and British political economy.

Marx showed the right path to realize his ideal. Applying dialectical materialism to the social field, Marx founded historical materialism. As VI Lenin assessed, “Marx’s historical materialism is the greatest achievement of scientific thought. A very complete and rigorous scientific theory has replaced the chaos and arbitrariness that have reigned until now in the concepts of history and politics.”[3]From the dialectical materialist perspective of history, Marx built the theory of socio-economic formations.,Scientifically and clearly demonstrate the historical and natural logic of social development. Applying the theory of economic and social formations to the analysis of capitalist society, Karl Marx discovered the laws of its origin, development, and destruction; predicted the birth of a new, higher economic and social formation, which is the communist economic and social formation, the first stage of which is socialism.

Marx pointed out the historical mission of the proletariat, they are the fundamental force that pioneers in overthrowing the bourgeoisie and capitalism, establishing a communist society. The struggle of the proletariat is inseparable from the national struggle, on an international scale. Marx pointed out the path for the proletariat to successfully realize its historical mission; in which, it is necessary to have a communist party to lead, carry out revolutionary violence, implement the dictatorship of the proletariat, build a worker-peasant alliance, and create world proletarian solidarity. But first of all, they "must finish off the bourgeoisie of their own country", "must seize power", "eliminate the situation of man exploiting man" then "the situation of one nation exploiting another will also be eliminated". That spirit is clearly shown in the slogan that concludes the content of the Communist Manifesto: "Workers of all countries, unite!"[4].

"The Communist Manifesto" was co-authored by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.

With a scientific belief, Marx persistently worked to realize the communist ideal in life. With absolute faith in success, Marx not only outlined theoretical issues to equip the proletariat with a world view but also actively engaged in practical activities. C. Marx participated in activities such as establishing political parties of the working class, enlightening and training them through revolutionary movements so that they would increasingly mature in their awareness and action, fulfilling their historical mission.

Obviously, the noble ideal of Marx is the goal that civilized humanity strives for, reaches, constantly making material more and more abundant, spirit more and more advanced, and human love more and more abundant. Therefore, not only communists, but any person in the world who aspires to reach civilization, seeks the path outlined by Marx. Only those who do not understand, or deliberately do not understand, the legacy that Marx left for humanity, or those who do not have the goal of reaching civilization, reject the noble ideal, deny, distort Marxism-Leninism, oppose socialism, praise the exploitative regime, and promote unjust actions.

Expressing sincere feelings about the noble ideals that Karl Marx built and that later generations pursued and implemented, consider it as burning incense to express gratitude on the occasion of Karl Marx's birthday on May 5; creating more confidence and motivation to contribute to making Vietnam increasingly rich, prosperous and happy!
