(Baonghean.vn) - Today (August 15), the Minister of Education and Training held a conference to meet teachers, managers, staff of preschool, general education, continuing education, and university staff and lecturers nationwide.
The program is organized in a combination of in-person and online formats. The main bridge is located at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Training, connecting with provinces and cities through 63 bridges of the Departments of Education and Training.

The program is an opportunity for the Minister to inform about the situation of the sector, share and encourage teachers, managers, staff of units, schools, and educational institutions nationwide to prepare for the new school year. At the same time, through the program, the Minister listens to and grasps the thoughts, aspirations, and difficulties of teachers, managers, and staff in the process of implementing current educational innovation; helping to orient appropriate policies to develop teachers, managers, and staff of the Education and Training sector and successfully implement educational innovation.
At this conference, teacher Nguyen Thi Thieu Hoa - teacher of Dang Thai Mai Secondary School also represented nearly 5,000 teachers in the whole province to send her opinions. According to teacher Nguyen Thi Thieu Hoa, in recent years, during their work, the teaching staff in Nghe An has received the attention of the Ministry of Education and Training, provincial leaders, the education sector, and the consensus and unanimity of parents. Thereby, teachers have many advantages, promoting their capacity and responsibility for their career.educationin the province

However, in the current period, the whole sector is implementing the 2018 General Education Program, with many innovations, so it is inevitable that there will be difficulties, obstacles and concerns. Faced with current difficulties, representing teachers in Nghe An province, Ms. Thieu Hoa sent the Minister 3 recommendations:
Firstly, the 2018 General Education Program at the secondary level requires integrated teaching of Natural Sciences, History and Geography, therefore, teachers who are trained in a single subject must participate in this training program to be able to teach all subjects. Training according to the framework program issued under Circulars No. 2454 and 2455 of the Ministry basically helps teachers to be able to teach integrated subjects. However, in order for teachers to be more confident and teach more effectively, it is recommended that the Ministry have policies, directions and instructions to continue to have solutions to help teachers become more and more complete, more confident and teach more effectively.
Second, the implementationGeneral Education Program 2018and new textbooks for high school level according to the roadmap have been implemented up to grade 11. However, currently, both teachers and students are not clear about the high school graduation exam and university admission plan. Therefore, Ms. Thieu Hoa expressed her hope that the Ministry of Education and Training will soon issue a document guiding and orienting the 2025 high school graduation exam and university admission so that teachers can know.

Third, according to the Minister's guiding viewpoint, the teaching staff plays an important role, deciding the quality of education and deciding the success of the educational reform. Meanwhile, the sector cannot decide on recruitment to solve the problem of surplus and shortage of teachers as well as decide on salaries and allowances to ensure that teachers feel secure in their work, stick with the profession and attract talented people to become teachers. Representatives of Nghe An teachers hope that the Minister will let them know what solutions the education sector will have in the near future to solve this problem.
Regarding the opinion of teacher Nguyen Thi Thieu Hoa and many other opinions at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Kim Son shared the difficulties that teachers and educational institutions are facing when implementing the 2018 General Education Program, including integrated and interdisciplinary teaching at the secondary school level.
According to the Minister, this is a new point in the 2018 General Education Program. During the implementation process, there are qualified teachers who have been able to integrate all the components. However, there are also teachers who are still confused, especially teachers in difficult areas, despite having been trained and fostered.
The Minister informed that in the coming time, the Ministry will consider adjusting integrated teaching at secondary level in a better, more convenient and suitable direction to meet the requirements of educational innovation. In addition, the Minister also hopes that teachers need to adjust their professional habits, especially when with the new program, teachers are given more power and are more proactive. But it also requires teachers to have the capacity and skills to be able to best promote this power and initiative.
Discussing the plan to organize the 2025 high school graduation exam, the Minister said that it is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2023, the exam plan will be announced.

This afternoon, at Vinh University, Dr. Dinh Ngoc Thang - lecturer at the School of Education, Vinh University also expressed his opinion to the Minister of Education and Training. In which, he focused on the content of training and fostering lecturers.
According to Dr. Dinh Ngoc Thang, teacher training programs need to incorporate training and fostering of Vietnamese traditions, including the tradition of "respecting teachers". This training helps spread the traditional values of our ancestors in the pedagogical environment.
Second, the major policies and decisions of the Ministry of Education and Training need to be linked to the mission of those who have chosen the teaching profession. Currently, those who have chosen the teaching profession are facing difficulties and obstacles, including career pressure and income pressure. However, if teachers consider that mission as their choice, they can overcome these difficulties.
Third, the issue of setting an example for teachers is also very important. Setting an example must be timely and accurate.
This lecturer suggested that the education sector should continue to strengthen training and foster good traditions of the nation, especially promoting the tradition of "respecting teachers".
