Wishing Nghe An to develop among the top in the country

On behalf of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi, there were former members of the Party Central Committee: Le Doan Hop - former Minister of Information and Communications, former Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Association; Nguyen Dinh Huong - former Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee; Truong Dinh Tuyen - former Minister of Trade, former Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Ta Quang Ngoc - former Minister of Fisheries; Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc - former Commander of Military Region 4 and delegates and businesses.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, a number of comrades in the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee and representatives of some departments and branches of the province.

At the meeting, delegates of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi expressed their excitement at the province's development steps, and exchanged many enthusiastic opinions full of responsibility for their homeland.

In the first 6 months of the year, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate is estimated at 7.39%, higher than the same period in the past 6 years. Total budget revenue is estimated at 6,187 billion VND.

The province has granted new licenses (approved investment policies/issued investment registration certificates) to 43 projects with a total registered investment capital of more than VND 5,272 billion; granted business registration certificates to 739 enterprises, an increase of nearly 15% over the same period...

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Huong - former Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee suggested that the province focus on personnel work, especially key officials, to lay the foundation for the province's leadership and development process.

Also related to this issue, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc - former Commander of Military Region 4 also shared his concerns regarding the quality of the staff, especially the lower-level staff. According to the Lieutenant General, the province needs to pay attention to recruitment, training and fostering so that the staff at the grassroots level can really change their working style to suit the development trend and keep up with the leadership mindset.

Former Minister of Trade Truong Dinh Tuyen, after analyzing the opportunities and development prospects of our country, as well as based on the potential and advantages of Nghe An, he suggested that the province pay attention to developing enterprises in the fields of information technology, tourism development...; at the same time, improve component indexes related to the investment environment in the Provincial Competitiveness Index and other indexes...

Regarding the issue of attracting investment, Dr. Nguyen Sy Dung shared his view that it is necessary to select strategic investors, especially Japanese enterprises, to invest in Nghe An. “We must make a Dong Du 2.0” - said the former Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office.

At the meeting, a number of businessmen from Nghe An, as well as foreign investors participating in the delegation, also shared their investment orientations in the province, and made recommendations and suggestions for cooperation.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh thanked the delegation members for their sentiments and profound opinions; and at the same time analyzed some development orientations in the fields of industry, construction, agriculture, and tourism of the province.

The Provincial Party Secretary also emphasized the direction of implementing the 3 breakthroughs that the Central Government has pointed out, accordingly, for Nghe An, focusing on developing infrastructure, especially international border gates, seaport systems in Cua Lo, Hoang Mai, and expanding Vinh airport.

Regarding human resources, on the basis of technical labor training facilities that are assessed as quite good, the province will focus on improving quality, on the other hand, developing university and postgraduate human resources, especially technical human resources and information technology experts. Regarding institutions, Nghe An focuses on promoting administrative reform, of which this year the province has directed the implementation of pilot units in 7 units.

Regarding Party building, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that the province's first policy is to continue to enhance the Party's prestige in society. To do so, it is necessary to build a team of truly exemplary cadres; maintain internal solidarity.

The Provincial Party Secretary also shared with the working delegation key solutions to improve the spirit and responsibility of cadres, the effectiveness and efficiency of the apparatus at the commune level such as: the regulation that the Chairman of the People's Council and the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level must dialogue with the people every 6 months. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also organized meetings with the heads of the Party Committees and authorities of 480 communes in the area.

Sincerely thanking and fully accepting the opinions of the Nghe An Association delegation in Hanoi, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that he will try his best to build Nghe An to develop sustainably and faster, meeting expectations.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi Le Doan Hop expressed his gratitude to the provincial leaders; the opinions expressed were full of responsibility for the homeland; and said that the association will continue to coordinate, connect, and accompany the province in many fields, including attracting investment to Nghe An.

Earlier, in his opening speech, comrade Le Doan Hop shared that the Nghe An Association in Hanoi always hopes that the province will develop faster in both economy and society, and be among the top in the country; Nghe An cadres will mature more than both the province and the Central Government; therefore, the meeting is an opportunity to connect more closely, discuss cooperation issues to realize the goals of building the homeland.
