Moon Jae-in hopes to sign a peace treaty with North Korea in the near future.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in expressed hope that a peace treaty with North Korea will be signed soon, he said at a press conference on Thursday following his visit to North Korea.

"The aim is to sign a declaration on ending the war within this year, I will discuss this with Mr. Trump," Mr. Moon Jae-in told reporters after returning to Seoul from Pyongyang.
The South Korean President will soon visit the United States to participate in the UN General Assembly session and meet with the US leader.
