On May 19, Dak Nong Provincial Police temporarily detained Nong Duc Cuong (Truong Xuan Commune, Dak Song District, Dak Nong) to investigate and clarify the act of involuntary manslaughter.

At the investigation agency, Nong Duc Cuong stated that on May 17, Cuong invited Hoang Minh Trung (34 years old) into the forest to hunt animals.

While chasing and shooting wild animals, due to the dense forest blocking his vision, Cuong mistook Trung for a monkey and shot him in the head, killing him on the spot.

When the police invited him to interview, Cuong admitted all his actions. The police also seized four more guns that Cuong had hidden to use for hunting wild animals.

It is known that Mr. Hoang Minh Trung is a park in Tan Phu village, Dak R'Moan commune, Gia Nghia town, Dak Nong.
