5 suspects in a football betting ring worth over 22 billion VND, including 1 subject residing in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city (Nghe An) have just been prosecuted and temporarily detained.
On the morning of August 24, the leader of Dak Nong Provincial Police said that the investigation agency had just dismantled a football betting ring with tens of billions of dong.
The investigation agency decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a detention order for Le Quyet Thang (30 years old, residing in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city, Nghe An); Dang Thai Son (31 years old), Hoang The Manh, Pham Thanh Thao (35 years old), and Ngo Van Duy (31 years old, all residing in Dak Mil district) for gambling.

Previously, on August 16, the investigation agency, Dak Nong Provincial Police caught Le Quyet Thang and Pham Thanh Thao paying each other for football betting.
Police seized 25 million VND, 4 cell phones and 1 car.
At the investigation agency, Thang confessed to using the master account K3KB800, then asked Dang Thai Son to divide it into 10 sub-accounts for gamblers to use, of which account K3KB80000C Thang gave to Ngo Van Duy to use and lost 700 million VND.
The total number of points that the sub-accounts managed by Le Quyet Thang used was 397,444 points, equivalent to nearly 20 billion VND for gambling.
Expanding the investigation, Dak Nong Provincial Police also arrested Hoang The Manh. According to the investigation, since the beginning of 2019, Manh used the general account FQ290101 and divided it into account FQ290101001 and gave it to Pham Thanh Thao, account FQ290101003 and gave it to Ngo Van Duy for gambling.
The total number of points that the accounts managed by Hoang The Manh used was 75,979 points, equivalent to more than 2.6 billion VND for gambling./.
