A worker in Quynh Luu district died in a toxic gas explosion in Jordan.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 1, relatives and local authorities of Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu) confirmed that crew member Nguyen Van Thanh was one of five Vietnamese citizens who died in a toxic gas explosion at Aqaba Port, Jordan.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 2002), in Dai Bac village, Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu), has 3 siblings (2 boys, 1 girl). Mr. Thanh went to work abroad through the official channel, starting working on the Forest 6 ship, registration number VRUK3, originating from Hong Kong (China) from December 2021.
After receiving the information, local authorities and neighbors came to offer condolences to Mr. Thanh's family.

According to local authorities and relatives, the family's wish is for the authorities to help bring Thanh's body back to his hometown for burial according to local customs.
A toxic gas explosion at Aqaba Port, Jordan on June 27 killed 13 people, including 5 Vietnamese citizens. Of the 251 injured, 7 Vietnamese citizens suffered minor injuries. They were crew members working on the Forest 6 ship, registration number VRUK3, originating from Hong Kong.
