A man was swept away by floodwaters while selling pork.

(Baonghean.vn) – A man living in Tam Thai commune, Tuong Duong was swept away by floodwaters on his way to sell pork.

According to information, the victim's name is Cuong, a resident of Dien Chau district, who registered for temporary residence in Lung village, Tam Thai commune (Tuong Duong). The victim worked as a pork butcher, and he was swept away by floodwaters on his way home from selling meat.

According to Ms. Nguyen, Mr. Cuong's wife, on the morning of October 10, Mr. Cuong brought pork from Tam Thai commune to Tam Hop commune to sell. That afternoon, it rained heavily and he called to say he would not return. However, later, they did not know why he returned, so the family thought he was staying in Tam Hop.

By the afternoon of October 11, her husband had not returned home. Ms. Nguyen called an acquaintance in Tam Hop and was informed that Mr. Cuong had returned home the previous evening. Thinking that something was wrong, she went to report it to the village and commune officials.

Immediately after receiving the information, the functional forces of the district and commune actively searched from the evening of October 11 to the morning of October 12 before finding Mr. Cuong's body. The location where Mr. Cuong was found was about 1km from the Xoong Con spillway bridge in Tam Thai commune.

His body is currently being brought back to his hometown for burial.
