A Deputy Editor-in-Chief had his Press Card revoked.

Mr. Le Truong Son, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Enterprise and Farm Magazine, has just had his press card revoked by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The Ministry of Information and Communications has just issued a Decision to revoke the Press Card of Mr. Le Truong Son, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Enterprise and Farm Magazine.

Decision No. 1187/QD-BTTTT signed by Minister Truong Minh Tuan on July 6 clearly stated that the Journalist Card with number ITT 01366, valid for 2016-2020 of Mr. Le Truong Son, issued at Vietnam Enterprise and Farm Magazine, was revoked due to violations of regulations on press activities according to Section c, Point 9.1, Clause 9, Section II of Circular No. 07/2007/TT-BVHTT dated March 20, 2007 of the Ministry of Culture and Information.

Vietnam Business and Farm Magazine is responsible for withdrawing the above Press Card and submitting it to the Press Department before July 20.

According to the report, on January 1, 2016, Mr. Le Truong Son signed as Editor-in-Chief to issue a letter of introduction to a reporter. In addition, also on January 1, Mr. Son, as Permanent Deputy Editor-in-Chief, signed on behalf of the Editor-in-Chief to issue a reporter card to an individual who did not work at this magazine.

Faced with this situation, Director of the Press Department Luu Dinh Phuc said he is reviewing press agencies that have violated regulations in issuing press cards and strictly handling leaders of violating press agencies./.
