(Baonghean.vn) - During the resistance war, our people and soldiers achieved great victories with only simple and basic tools and weapons. These items have been recovered and preserved to this day. And fortunately, on International Children's Day, June 1st, I was taken by the teachers and staff of Baonghean.vn to visit the Museum of Military Region 4 – a place that preserves relics of the resistance war in the former Military Region 4 area.

The students reported their achievements to the spirits of the heroes and martyrs at the museum's memorial, detailing the accomplishments they had achieved after a year of hard work, dedication, and training.

From the editorial office, the vehicle carrying "passengers" of all ages began to move. Those who hadn't been before were eagerly awaiting the chance to see and hear stories about the heroes and martyrs of the resistance war. Those who had been before were also very excited to visit the museum again and tell others about their previous visits.

The vehicle drove through the city's main streets and finally arrived at the museum. After the ceremony of reporting achievements and offering incense, and observing a moment of silence in remembrance of the nation's heroes and martyrs, we were allowed to visit the exhibition hall displaying artifacts from the resistance war. Each artifact here contains specific events and stories that took place on this land rich in revolutionary traditions, becoming sacred tangible cultural values with profound humanistic significance. As soon as I entered the room, I saw a statue of a soldier returning to his family after the war. Behind the statue was an image symbolizing the revolutionary flame, flanked by drops of water – the tears of the loved ones of the heroes and martyrs. Next were tombstones bearing only numbers of the deceased soldiers, and photographs telling touching stories from wartime. Beside them were the simple belongings of the soldiers from that era.

Uncle Hoanh – who had been telling us stories about the artifacts from the beginning – pointed to the airplanes, missiles, and tanks, and spoke about the victories in the nation's resistance war. Afterward, we were taken to the main building of the museum. Upon entering, we were greeted by the reception hall – where visitors were welcomed with a statue of President Ho Chi Minh and a replica of a Dong Son bronze drum. Inside, we and the other uncles, aunts, and elders were shown other artifacts and photographs. Hearing the stories and seeing the artifacts firsthand, which I had only learned about in books before, filled me with immense admiration for the patriotism and courage of the uncles and aunts. Some artifacts moved me deeply, such as the rubber sandals that the soldiers used to climb mountains and cross streams with great difficulty. These real objects made me even more grateful and remember those who fell so that the country could "blossom with independence and bear the fruits of freedom."

Uncle Hoanh, the museum guide, introduced the children to a sculpture depicting a soldier returning to his family after the war.

and introduce the weapons used in the resistance.

For me, this trip was incredibly rewarding and brought me many emotions. It was a feeling of sorrow for those who sacrificed their lives. It also strengthened my love for my country. Furthermore, I felt immense gratitude for the contributions of the Vietnamese national heroes in fighting invaders and unifying the country. We owe our lives today partly to their sacrifices. Therefore, to repay their great kindness, I will strive to study hard and cultivate good morals so that when I grow up, I can contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful Vietnam, just as they have worked hard to build our nation so that we can have the life we have today.
