Pogba was promoted to vice-captain of Man Utd at the start of the season and often wore the captain's armband due to the absence of Antonio Valencia. However, coach Mourinho decided to strip Pogba of the vice-captain position, meaning the French midfielder no longer has the opportunity to wear the captain's armband.

"The truth is that I decided not to make Pogba vice-captain anymore, but between us there is no problem or conflict," Mourinho told the channel.Sky Sports. "This is just a reason that I don't need to explain."

Pogba's demotion came just before United's Carabao Cup match, where they lost to Derby County on penalties. It was United's third defeat of the season and the first in which they have lost their chance of winning the title.

Mourinho's decision is believed to be a response to Pogba publicly criticising the tactics in the draw with Wolves at the weekend. Mourinho also left Pogba out of the squad for the Derby game. The French midfielder had to watch from the stands, with Ashley Young wearing the captain's armband.

MU achieves record revenue

MU has just gone through a season that is not really satisfactory. They lost the 2017/18 season and were eliminated quite early in the Champions League. However, the results in the business field are completely opposite to the performance of this team.

Specifically, the Red Devils achieved a revenue of up to 590 million pounds in the 2018 financial year. They also had a profit of 44.1 million pounds last year.

Former MU star caught doping
