Mourinho first came to Man Utd training ground
Executive Vice President Ed Woodward personally took the new Portuguese coach on a tour of the club's headquarters in Carrington.
Mourinho became the new manager of Man Utd in the middle of last week when he signed a three-year contract with the Manchester club. But it was not until yesterday, May 30, that this strategist appeared for the first time at the Aon Training Complex, the new name of the Carrington headquarters.

Mourinho's visit, according to Goal (Italy), lasted four hours, as the coach wanted to learn as much as possible about the club's facilities, a place he will certainly visit countless times during his time leading Man Utd.
Mourinho was accompanied at Carrington yesterday by agent Jorge Mendes and several assistants. The Man Utd representative who welcomed this delegation was Executive Vice Chairman Ed Woodward, and board member, living legend of the club, Bobby Charlton.
Ed Woodward himself then took Mourinho on a tour of the $80 million training complex. The two men spent about an hour alone in what was supposed to be Mourinho's private office. The new Man Utd manager and his delegation also had lunch in the complex's canteen.

One of Mourinho’s main concerns when taking over from Louis Van Gaal was to reassess the quality of the complex’s training pitches and gyms. In 2014, when he first took charge at Man Utd, the Dutchman complained about the quality of these two areas.
