Mourinho sets coaching record with victory over Man Utd
After the victory over Ajax on the evening of May 24, "The Special One" became the first coach to win the Champions League and Europa League more than once.
Jose Mourinho began his winning streak in European competition by winning the UEFA Cup/Europa League in 2003 andCup C1/Champions League 2004. Thanks to the 2-0 victory over Ajax on the evening of May 24, the 54-year-old coach became the first coach to win each title at least twice.
Thanks to the victory over Ajax, Mourinho maintained his perfect record in European Cup finals. In the previous three finals, FC Porto defeated Celtic 3-2, crushed Monaco 3-0, and Inter Milan beat Bayern 2-0.

This year's Europa League is also Mourinho's 25th collective title in his coaching career. In addition to four European Cups, the "Special One" has won eight national championship titles in four different countries including Portugal, England, Italy and Spain.
In addition to his personal mark, Mourinho also helped Man Utd unify three titles in the European arena. Before that, the "Red Devils" had won the C1 Cup/Champions League in 1968, 1999, 2008 and the C2 Cup in 1991.
