"In every way, it's a bad draw," Jose Mourinho said after learning that Man Utd had been drawn against Rostov. "We have to travel far and have an unfavourable schedule. And it's even more difficult because they are a strong opponent."

Before the draw for the Europa League round of 16, Mourinho expressed his desire to meet Lyon so as not to have to travel too far. He also said he did not want to meet Russian clubs, but the result was completely opposite.
"Rostov had a successful season in the Champions League. They beat Ajax and Anderlecht in the qualifying round. They entered a difficult group with Bayern and Atletico. They finished third in the group, eliminating PSV," Mourinho commented on the strength of their opponents.
"It's a physically strong team. It's clearly a tough opponent for Man Utd," the Man Utd coach emphasized.
