Not only imparting knowledge, she is also a connector and activator of each student's potential. Under her leadership, IMAP Training and Education Company has achieved many important achievements, striving to become the No. 1 educational group in language and skills training in Vietnam.
Fourteen years ago, in a small 25m² room in Hanoi, a young girl from Nghe AnNguyen Thi Hoastarted the journey of sowing the seeds of inspiration to learn English for millions of Vietnamese people. At that time, Ms. Hoa was working at a foreign company with a dream income. “At that moment, I understood that I wanted to live a meaningful life helping others change with knowledge and inspiration.”,she recalled.
Overcoming initial difficulties in terms of capital, organizational and teaching experience, in June 2012, the Ms Hoa TOEIC brand was born. The image of a cheerful, energetic teacher leading to active and exciting lessons has attracted a large number of young people to participate. With different training features, emphasizing the inspirational factor, operating in a professional management form, Ms Hoa English has truly created special marks in the English teaching and learning environment in Hanoi.
That is a very new concept of teacher Ms. Hoa. For her, learning English is not synonymous with responsibility but joy and discovery. Every day in class, she asks her students to put their emotions into the language, feel in their own way, and memorize vocabulary with their own different explanations.
She opened up, beyond the dry language shell is a whole vivid world full of surprises and interesting things. For example, the word "fireworks" simply means fireworks, but she saw the combination of "fire" and "works", making the word "fireworks" beautiful with the meaning of "masterpiece of fire". The word "firefighter" if everyone just thinks of as "firefighter", but Hoa sees it as "a hero fighting fire" - a noble profession, because "fighter" means "warrior". Or the word "businessman" is translated as businessman - a high-status profession in society, but the natives only consider it a busy man, because "businessman" contains "busy".
Ms. Hoa believes that if going to class is associated with tasks and responsibilities, students will easily get bored and lose their will to continue, so Hoa teaches students to love English with all their hearts. “Learn by heart” is not just memorization but “learning with all your heart”.
With enthusiasm and a positive attitude, Ms. Hoa believes that a teacher is not only a person who imparts knowledge and skills but also brings a positive attitude, inspiration and passion to the learners. Therefore, her classes are always fun and full of energy. There, students can overcome their shyness, fear of making mistakes, and reluctance to speak, but can immerse themselves in stories, discover new things, and confidently affirm their own values.
In 2012, realizing that many people wanted to learn English but did not have the opportunity to go to class, Ms. Hoa decided to open a website to share her knowledge and experience in learning English. At that time, she went to work during the day, and in the evening she diligently prepared lessons and wrote inspirational stories about learning English. Although it was hard, those were the most beautiful days of her youth, she lived and worked to the fullest, giving useful values to everyone.
As one of the first sources in Vietnam to share free knowledge and English lessons, the number of readers of her website increased day by day, and the number of students coming to the center also increased. In those early days, she worked hard to teach singing until her voice became hoarse and lost, sometimes having to be hospitalized, but she quickly returned because there were many students waiting for her. There were students who cycled 20 km to school regularly, some who rode motorbikes from Hai Phong to Hanoi to study and then drove back at night, or the elderly who still came to language classes... all became the motivation for her to constantly try, to devote herself, not afraid of difficulties or hardships.
After 14 years of development, Ms. Hoa and her associates have built IMAP Education and Training Company with a system of more than 100 facilities nationwide, with 6 brands: Ms. Hoa TOEIC, Ms. Hoa Communication, Ms. Hoa Junior, IELTS Fighter, Ebomb, IMAP Pro; helping over 1.5 million people confidently speak English.
In 2021, IMAP was honored to be among the 100 typical ASEAN enterprises, and won the title of "Typical enterprise leading the English education and training industry".
In 2023, MAP Vietnam was awarded the "Educational Environment of the Year" trophy at the first "Smart Education Initiative - SEI Awards" ceremony.
And on July 27, 2025, at the IDP Partner Excellence Awards Ceremony - an annual event organized by IDP Education, IELTS Fighter - a brand under the IMAP Vietnam system was honored to be named in two important categories: Top IDP Outstanding Partner in Southeast Asia for 2 consecutive years (2024 and 2025), Top system with the number of students with the highest scores in the region.

Although busy with many plans and projects, deep in her heart, Ms. Hoa still has a passionate love for her hometown Nghe An, a homeland that loves learning and values love and affection. Quynh Luu village, where she grew up in many deprivations, but in return received warm love from her family, teachers and friends. Ms. Hoa still remembers her days in secondary school, she studied very normally, nothing outstanding compared to her classmates. But thanks to the encouragement, the encouragement, the gentle and tolerant smile in front of the somewhat naive answers of the little students, her love for foreign languages gradually grew. Therefore, Ms. Hoa came to English with gratitude, gratitude for the open hearts that allowed her to walk on the big road, gratitude for the beauty of language with many layers of meaning.
Although she has lived in Hanoi for nearly 30 years, Ms. Hoa still maintains the warm accent of Nghe An every time she teaches. She believes that her voice reflects the character and soul of the people of the Central region, which is simple, straightforward, and straightforward. She loves the affectionate folk songs of Vi Giam, and every day, her family still speaks to each other in Nghe An accent as a way to preserve the traditions of their homeland.
Ms. Hoa still remembers the day she sent her two sisters off to Hanoi to study, her father told her that the family was in financial difficulty and could only provide for half of the trip, the other half, the two sisters would try to take care of themselves. She also remembers that the first time she started her business with nothing and a capital of only 60 million VND from her parents' savings, she began a journey to realize her passion of being an inspirational ambassador for the English language.
Thinking back, it is the strong will to face difficulties and overcome adversity, the spirit of hard work, diligence, and a kind heart that knows how to give... those characteristics of Nghe people that have helped Ms. Hoa achieve the results today. Therefore, the famous teacher in the English community is even more proud and grateful for her Nghe homeland, and her warm Nghe accent still radiates a love, a mission that she and her colleagues are aiming for.“Help 10 million Vietnamese people confidently speak English”.
On November 20, we once again proudly look back at the journey of inspiration and knowledge that Ms. Hoa has painstakingly built over the past 14 years.
